Goat Milk

~Our facilities~

~Our facilities~

~Our facilities~

An indoor shooting range setup with targets and a raised platform.

In January of 2026 we started construction on our milking parlor addition which we completed in the spring of 2026.

Not only has this addition made milking much more efficient, it has enabled us to handle the milk in a clean environment, separate from the barn area.

~ Milking Does ~

~Our facilities~

~Our facilities~

Several goats lined up on a platform inside a barn, likely for milking.

Our milking does come into the parlor twice a day to be milked. We milk by machine, which is sanitized before each milking.

The milk lines each have a filter, so that the milk is filtered before entering the bucket.

~ Milk Room ~

~Our facilities~

Our milk room contains our wash sinks where we throughly wash all of the milking units, hoses, and buckets. We use a three step wash process, using dairy cleaners.

We follow a strict sanitation protocol to ensure our milking equipment is cleaned properly to prevent bacterial contamination.

~ Milk Chilling~

When we are done milking, the milk is transferred to the chill tank. The tank has a cooling plate that rapidly chills the milk.

The milk is typically 38° within 30 minutes.

The chill tank is emptied each day when we bottle the milk. Then it is cleaned using the same three step process as our milking equipment. Once clean, it is then sanitized before adding the milk.

~ Our Label ~

Bottles of raw goat milk labeled 'Not For Human Consumption' with red caps.

Our goat milk is not pasteurized.

(Pasteurization is the process of heating milk to a specific temperature for a set amount of time to kill potentially harmful bacteria.)

Our milk is bottled "raw".

NC law does not allow raw milk to be sold for human consumption. Therefore, milk from our farm is labeled for pets and soap making.

Our milk is available for purchase at farmstands in the surrounding area.

Pick up at the farm is by appointment.
